COVID-10 and Physical Therapy

The respiratory diaphragm has an impact on the ability of the pelvic floor to contract and relax in a manner that will allow for both continence and elimination.

➜ COVID-19 survivors often have disability in this muscle of respiration that can lead to implications for both overactive and underactive pelvic floor.

➜ Commonly, this population is hospitalized for long periods of time, which can have long-term consequences on both bladder and bowel functioning including, but not limited to, incontinence, urinary retention, and constipation.

➜ Pelvic floor therapists must be prepared to adjust both their evaluation and treatment methods in consideration of this novel treatment population.

Jenean LaCorte Restorative Tattoos 3D Nipple and Scar Tattoo

Jenean LaCorte became interested in medical tattoo when she learned of the need from her sister-in-law, who had undergone a bilateral mastectomy due to her breast cancer diagnosis. Jenean, herself is a cancer survivor of over 40 years, and understands the needs of survivors wanting to camouflage their scars, some wanting to find a substitute for what was taken away, as is the case with the 3D nipple tattoos.

For her pursuit of this interest, she studied and earned her certification through the Sauler Institute, a division of Penn Medicine. She is also certified in HIPPA rules and regulations and blood born pathogens.

It is her great passion to help as many people as she can through her artistic approach to medical tattooing.

Restorative Tattoos is located in Hampstead, NC 28443. To learn more click the link below, call at  910-232-1117 or email her at

What Beautycounter has taught us....
*There are about 10,000 chemicals commonly found in personal care products - only 10% of those chemicals have safety data.

*The United States has not passed a federal law to regulate the ingredients used in personal care products since 1938.

*The European Union has spent the past two decades banning or restricting more than 1,300 ingredients - the U.S has only banned 11 to date.
